Hillsborough Knolls Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Hillsborough neighborhood guide
Hillsborough Knolls covers mid town streets such as San Raymundo Road, La Cumbre Road and El Arroyo Road. The area sits on rolling ground in the middle of Hillsborough, high enough that many homes look out across the Bay or down the valley. The Spanish street names fit the Revival architecture found on many of the older houses. Lots are large, and streets wind with the land.
The neighborhood lies between the gentler flats near San Mateo and the upper hills around Carolands. Crossroads Park at Black Mountain and Hayne Roads, one of the town's few public parks, is nearby, and Vista Park is a short drive south. Central Park and downtown San Mateo are a few minutes east, and Burlingame Avenue is also close. Interstate 280 is reached via Black Mountain Road.
