Hillsborough Park Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Hillsborough neighborhood guide
Hillsborough Park sits midway up the south hills, around Black Mountain Road, Vista Road and Chiltern Road. It holds two of the town's few public parks. Vista Park on Vista Road is a long, narrow park with play equipment, climbing rocks, an arbor, picnic tables and a large field with a backstop. Crossroads Park, at Black Mountain and Hayne Roads, has a water fountain and benches.
The neighborhood also holds an important piece of modern architecture. The Arthur and Mona Hofmann House on Cuesta Road was designed by Richard Neutra in 1937 in the International Style. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991, it was described at the time as the least altered Neutra home outside Southern California. It is a private residence.
Hillsborough Park is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the Hillsborough map for the full picture.
