Lakeview Hillsborough Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Hillsborough neighborhood guide
Lakeview covers upper south Hillsborough along the Crystal Springs watershed, near where San Mateo Creek leaves Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir. Serpentine outcrops in the San Mateo Creek watershed support rare native plants, including the San Mateo woolly sunflower, and oak woodland covers much of the surrounding slopes. Interstate 280 runs along the western edge, crossing San Mateo Creek on the Doran Memorial Bridge.
The area's best known landmark is the Flintstone House at 45 Berryessa Way. Designed by William Nicholson and built in 1976, it was made by spraying concrete over inflated balloon forms, and its curving, burnt orange shape is easy to spot from the Doran Memorial Bridge. It is a private home. The Sawyer Camp Trail starts just north of Crystal Springs Dam.
Lakeview is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the Hillsborough map for the full picture.
