Alder Manor San Carlos Homes and Neighborhood Guide
San Carlos neighborhood guide
Alder Manor is the southwest corner of San Carlos, west of Alameda de las Pulgas and south of Brittan Avenue toward Redwood City, including the Brittan Heights area. The terrain mixes level streets near the Alameda with steep hillside roads above, where many homes look out over the canyons, the city and the bay. Some streets are narrow and steep, which affects parking.
Open space is close at hand. Eaton Park, with about 57 acres of oak and madrone hillside and hiking trails, sits within the neighborhood, and the San Carlos 4-H Club runs an animal farm in its lower section. Big Canyon Park is nearby, and Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve is just over the hill off Crestview Drive. Some homes are in the Redwood City School District, so check by address.
