Burlingables is also known as Oak Grove Manor. It is a walkable area east of the railroad tracks, close to Washington Park, Burlingame High School and the Caltrain station on Burlingame Avenue. The streets are mostly residential, with the downtown shops and restaurants a few blocks away.
The neighborhood is made up largely of early 1900s bungalows and period revival homes. Washington Park, one of the city's largest, has sports fields, tennis and basketball courts, a playground and picnic areas, and Jules Francard Grove holds heritage eucalyptus trees nearby. Downtown Burlingame Avenue, the Sunday farmers market on Park Road and the historic depot are all an easy walk.
