Farm Hill Redwood City Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Redwood City neighborhood guide
Farm Hill is Redwood City's westernmost neighborhood, set in the hills along the Woodside border with Alameda de las Pulgas on its eastern edge. Farm Hill Boulevard runs through it and likely gave it its name. It is one of the city's larger neighborhoods and holds the city's highest point, the knoll topped by the Easter Cross. City water tanks on the hills, filled from the Hetch Hetchy system, use gravity to supply water pressure.
Open space is a big part of the area. The 42 acre Stulsaft Park, established in 1951 on land donated by developer Morris Stulsaft, has a playground near its Farm Hill Boulevard entrance and wild creekside land beyond. Part of Edgewood County Park lies at the western tip, and the nine hole Emerald Hills Golf Course is off Wilmington Way. Roy Cloud School and part of the Cañada College campus are also in the area.
Farm Hill is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the Redwood City map for the full picture.

Homes and Streets
The neighborhood is almost entirely residential, mostly single family homes with some apartments and condominiums. Homes appear to be of similar age and fall in a fairly narrow size range, suggesting much of the area was built over a short period. Many sit on sloped lots, and remodels and new builds mix with original houses. Cañada Vista, a 60 unit complex for community college faculty and staff, opened in 2010.
