Eagle Hill Redwood City Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Redwood City neighborhood guide
Eagle Hill is a small, almost entirely residential neighborhood bounded by Whipple Avenue, Myrtle Street, Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas. The hill itself is modest next to the ridges to the west, but many streets follow its contours, so blocks curve and few are rectangular. Avenue del Ora, Eagle Hill Terrace, Inner Circle and South Place wind up the slope, and the Hetch Hetchy pipeline right of way crosses the neighborhood.
The neighborhood's school campus was dedicated in 1932 as John Gill Elementary, named for a former district superintendent, and its Spanish style main building resembles Sequoia High's. The campus now houses Orion Alternative School, a district choice program. There are no stores or large parks inside the boundaries, but four small parklets dot the streets. Kensington Square, a pocket of unincorporated county land, sits near Harding Avenue.
Eagle Hill is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the Redwood City map for the full picture.

Homes and Streets
Housing is the main land use, and it is varied: larger Spanish style homes, modern houses, older simpler homes and some very small houses, often on the same street. A two story Spanish style house on Eagle Hill Terrace dates to 1919. Curving streets follow the hill's contours, so lots come in many shapes. Shops, parks and Sequoia Hospital are a short trip away in the surrounding neighborhoods.
