Palm Park Redwood City Homes and Neighborhood Guide
Redwood City neighborhood guide
Palm Park is a roughly triangular neighborhood with Woodside Road along one side and Redwood Avenue and Valota Road along the others, its tip reaching the El Camino Real and Woodside Road intersection. The name traces to a small triangle at Palm, Kentfield and Union that two boys cleared and signed as Palm Park in 1958. Residents later petitioned for a real park, and today's Palm Park was completed in 1979.
Union Cemetery, created in 1859 and named a California Historical Landmark in 1967, is maintained by the city and holds the 1880s Solari family windmill. The Sequoia YMCA sits beside Palm Park. Safeway, garden nurseries and casual restaurants line Woodside Road.
Palm Park is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the Redwood City map for the full picture.
