Howard Park San Carlos Homes and Neighborhood Guide
San Carlos neighborhood guide
Howard Park is the northern part of the San Carlos flats, running from San Carlos Avenue to Brittan Avenue and from El Camino Real to Alameda de las Pulgas. Laurel Street's shops and restaurants run through it, and San Carlos City Hall and the Caltrain station are close by. Nearly all of the neighborhood is level, so it is easy to get around on foot or by bike.
Burton Park is its centerpiece. It is the oldest of the city's developed parks and hosts Hometown Days in spring and a summer concert series. Every December, Eucalyptus Avenue becomes Christmas Tree Lane, with homes decorated along the street and a long line of cars driving through. Brittan Acres Elementary, Arroyo Upper Elementary and Central Middle School are all within the neighborhood.
Howard Park is shaded. Borders are approximate, see the San Carlos map for the full picture.
